Business and Investment Club was approved $1040 from the Student Services Levy for Business and Investment Club. The application was made in the April 2020 ($40), August 2020 ($1000) funding round as a Club – General applicant, against a stated activity cost of Our reconciliation from last year showed our total expenditure as $3,336.55. This was accumulated from printing of promotional materials; purchase of food and drinks for different speaker events, presentations and competitions; prize money for our annual VUW Stock Valuation Competition; gifts for speakers; and purchase of flights to Auckland for an investing competition. It is expected that our costs this year will be incurred from similar areas, particularly the prize money for the VUW Stock Valuation Competition (as we plan to host two this year – one in each trimester) and also food and speakers gifts for speaker presentations. As we look to expand our membership we expect further costs such as room hire, extra promotion, venue hire and handout materials..

Event details

The Business and Investment Club is promoted at all days at both club weeks. We also have a website, a Facebook page and a new Instagram page. We also plan to promote through paid online advertisements and through brochures and flyers on campus. There is potential to visit some of the halls of residence (and place promotion there as well).
