Amount requested / activity cost
The costs for expanding and improving our events vary depending on the scale and nature of each initiative. This means it is difficult to predict precise numbers in a way that would be helpful for this application. Some predictable categories of costs include: •T ransport: Hiring a van or reimbursing fuel costs. For example, travel to our Waikanae events was costing us just shy of $150 per event, at deliberately restricted turnouts. • Food: Providing meals for volunteers during events. Currently, we provide just snacks, but being able to provide more substantial food will allow us to increase the length of our events, to span over lunch breaks, and maybe even full days. The price of a light meal can range from $8-$12 per volunteer depending on the source. • Accommoda(cid:415)on: If we organize mul(cid:415)-day volunteer trips, partial contributions to accommodation costs. The exact idea of how much this costs is unclear, as we have not started planning it, as we do not currently have the funds to organise this. All of these are quite expensive if we want to increase the scale of our events for 2025. Below is a breakdown of the estimated cost for specific equipment purchases. These will be helpful for all events, but also has a secondary benefit of making us more stockpiled in the case of a crisis. The formatting of what should be a table has gone weird. The order goes, what, the cost per unit, how many units we want, total cost per item.
