Event details

This event is the annual New Zealand University Rowing Championships, which – after being cancelled last year due to Covid-19 – is being held down in Twizel. This event consists of racing across 3 days and is attended by all major NZ universities, including: Auckland; Otago; Waikato; Victoria; Lincoln; Canterbury; Massey; and AUT. The University Championships is the most important event on the VURC calendar and the primary means of competing for students who join the club. Each year Victoria sends a squad of approx. 50-60 students to the regatta.
