Event details
There are three main avenues of promoting our projects. The first is through social and digital media. The WCJP has a Facebook page with a strong following of nearly 1,600 people. For each event we create a Facebook event, advertise the event on our own Facebook page and ask the Victoria University of Wellington Law Students’ Society (VUWLSS), the Faculty of Law and VUWSA to advertise the event on their Facebook pages as well. We also email contacts on our mailing lists and relevant stakeholders. The second is through print media. This includes posters advertising the event and providing key information which are then pinned in key areas in various locations of the university. The third avenue is through physical presence and word-of-mouth. Members of our exec promote events at the beginning of the lecture for all compulsory papers In addition, the Launch and Summit are established events on the Law School calendar by this point; returning students are generally aware of these events and we ask our volunteers to invite their friends and spread awareness of the events more generally as well. This goes for our planned Te Reo lessons as well, which are part of a new initiative this year.
